I wrote this on my profile but think it should be a post

I have started this blog to share my Dreams! See if you can guess what some of them were about? How do my dream drawings make you feel, if anything? 23/02/2011 This is the Wednesday, of the last week, of the Sculpture module that motivated me to start this Blog. I shall not stop because I feel this is far too interesting and has corners that are still unexplored or bent. I tweeted these statements yesterday. "I wear it dangling from my raggedy sleeve... #myheart" "I spew it like the bad milk it knows it is... #mysoul" "I share them like they'll never run out... #mydreams"... but probably not publicly for the moment.

Four Mini Dream Drawings Drop Into Your Phone

That will be my final piece. Four short clips designed to be viewed on your mobile phone. During the day, on which we do our presentation, I will bluetooth four mini dream drawings to all who are presents. Then once my time comes; I will give my artistic reply to all my efforts, dreams, heart and soul on a plate work! For you I have four examples of these clips, I am still unsure if I will use these ones, any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks for watching!

My favourite dream drawing so far..

On Tuesday the waves were crashing all around our meek little island; because of the feeling of ennui in my soul I desired to get closer to the boundless energy of the wind and the sea.
Myself and a companion drove up to 'Da Knab', where the blue turmoil surrounded the jagged cliffs. On the peek of these I composed an impromptu dream drawing, using new and previous dreams. Yet I still felt I was not close enough to the elements so we trailed down to 'Da Sletts', where the white surf churned out lacy patterns and the crashing waves spattered salty curves on my black trousers. I could feel it now, the energy I needed, I could taste it.
We shot a few dream drawings in both locations but my my favourite is Lergooo, which I have renamed, 'White Wave.' For two reasons; firstly, the content and secondly, it is the meaning of my name.

The artistic reply to all my work..

Aren't you lucky

Two blogs in one day, you lucky ducks, you! So here's my impromptu birthday dream drawing. Yip...Happy Birthday to me. This was shot on my Fujifilm S7000 as most of my videos have, except for Tuxlo and Doplangea Hjaert, which were taken on my iPod Touch. The music is a clip I have trimmed from the experimental piece my peerie brother wrote, called 'Jennys Immense Tune'.
Have a good day people!

Just a thought.

Today I am going to share with you two videos; Tuxlo & Doplangea Hjaert. Doplangea Hjart is compiled of Clips from Valentines day, where the weather had notes of Wuthering Heights. Tuxlo; is a clip I shot drunk and upside down, with iMovie I have rotated it, slowed it down by 50% and added a sound clip.

Doplangea Hjaert

Tuxlo

p.s. There is only a week left and issues are arising about the possibility of a projection. I wanted to do an artistic reply to my video in a performance but am starting to wonder whether the reply should be my final piece.... just a thought.

Ta Da! Enjoy.

Only two working weeks and a day to go

Feeling the pressure. So many technical hiccups. Don't even have my final footage and I'm sat here blogging. Once I'm finished this I'm going to write my final performance, taking into consideration all my impromptu pieces. Tomorrow I will film it and send it to my Brother. Then he will write me a fabulous soundtrack which I will then fit onto it, yes my technical jargon is not quite up to scratch. In the meanwhile here is another experimental piece with an experimental soundtrack by Aaron, my peerie bridder and excessive iMovie sound effects from Moi. Here is Niwtre.

Sound as Promised

Just an experiment, I'm enjoying the process. I think you'll agree that the bizarre combinations of sound and imagery give it a dream like quality, not in the utopian sense but like an actual dream. Well like one of mine anyway. Here is hair(2)...

Oldfer

I like making up titles that have no meaning in reality but perhaps subconsciously. Like my playlists Frinkaa and Chactroon and others... Oldfer was the name of this experimental iMovie, using some of my Breathe-air-wind footage and Impromptu Dream Drawing No.8. Eight is my lucky number.

What it's all about...

Welcome to my first Blog. I am currently in my first year studying Contemporary Textiles. The self discovery is intense and I no longer have time to procrastinate away. January has brought the most exciting aspect of the course, for me so far, Sculpture.
In my research I have looked at Pippolotti Rist, Francoise Sullivan and other inspirational artists. I have also drawn on my visit to London last year; there I was privileged to listen to Karl Holmqvist reading one of his pieces in Poetry Park and also, on that trip, was lucky enough to dip my toes in Ai Weiwei's Sunflower Seeds.
Here are a few links I have enjoyed watching over and over.

The first is Rist's Lullaby, the second is Ever is all over, the third is her speaking about her installation Pour your body out, the fourth that installation. The fifth link is Sullivan speaking about the day Danse dans la Neige was filmed and then the final link, which might not seem to fit, is about Eva Hesse' work Aught. 4:12 minutes in Hesse speaks about the impermanence of her work and it is for those moments I have share it, as I feel its audio gold.
So this might lead you to wonder, what on earth am I doing? Well the theme Intimate Immensity from Gaston Bachelard's  Poetics of Space, was set before us to contemplate and ruminate. I originally went down three routes but the dream world took over. Bed-sleep-dreams was where I felt my most intimately immense space was. So since that revelation I have been doing Impromptu Dream Drawings.
Here I will share with you the very first one. Filmed on the 12th of January, 2011.

More to follow. Come again!
